Women’s Day, Goal Worksheet - Workshop
Designed and Illustrated by Shri Gunasekara
This is an Illustration based on a worksheet that I designed and illustrated to assist in a workshop I was running at Paington Library. This workshop was designed to be an empowering workshop as part of 'International Women's Day'. This activity will be designed to help people break down their goals (big or small) into small, step-by-step actions that are achievable.
As part of this workshop, I handed out these sheets to make them appealing to put up on the walls, allowing the attendees not to forget about the goals they have worked on during the workshop.
The development of this piece was complicated; however, I did come across some issues with the hand and the tattoos. The Hand was still coming out and awkwardly, so I had to go back and resketch a hand, using reference. I was able to then line a much more solid sketch and it came out great.
I also had some issues with the tattoos, this I because I was figuring out how to draw details tattoos with it, keeping within my style and not looking jarring or taking too much focus on the character. I solved this one by colouring the linework a very light colour to allow it to sit in the background/her arm.
