About Shri
Shri Gunasekara is a Cardiff-based Author/Illustrator working in publishing. She loves working in Graphic Novels, Book Cover designs, and Picture books.
About Shri but longer…
Shri tells sensitive stories about culture, family, and siblinghood, focusing on the deep, wholesome connections that people share with each other. She celebrates family structures through a multicultural lens, highlighting intimate moments that often are overlooked in the Western world. She uses her distinct form-pushing imagery to show deep emotional truths that carry an incredible emotional weight that can be seen across all her work.
Shri Gunasekara has been published by Third Bear Press and Inky Fruit Co, and she was selected for Broken Frontiers' Six Small Press Creators to Watch in 2026.
